Hi from Scotland, Tonic Studios is celebrating the 2nd Birthday of the Tonic Craft Kit and for the edition 24 of the kit they have created a super fun birthday themed kit.
Today I’m sharing 4 papercraft ideas using the Tonic Craft kit 24 and I added Charlie Croc which is, in my opinion, a super sweet addition.

Easel Card
The Craft Kit 24 includes the Celebration Easel Die Set, with 14 dies to easily and effortlessly make a 5-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ inches interactive easel card.
It also includes a 9 pieces stamp set with sentiments and images that you can use individually to create other projects.
I thought Charlie Croc from Tonic Studios Buildables Collection could be a great addition for my cards today.
- To make this card I used papers included in the kit.
- I die cut the card base out of Craft Perfect Withe Smooth Cardstock ( no included in the kit)
- To stamp the sentiment and the little candles I used the ink pad and stamps included in the kit as well.
- For the number “7′ on the hand of the die-cut crocodile, I use a die from the new Miehle Numerals Dies .. they will be available soon at the Tonic Shop.
The card folds flat to fit inside an envelope
Balloon Shaker Elements and Blisters
The kit also includes the exclusive Balloon Blister set.
There is a die in the kit die set that will cut the perfect window to place behind the ballon blisters.
The blisters add a lot of dimensions. Inside them, you can also add a ring, a piece of jewellery or a small gift and they are super easy to use.
I have never seen an easier way to create a shaker card.
I used again Charlie Croc Die Set I think he looks more like a dinosaur .. cool!!! you can play with your dies and make a different animal too… He doesn’t have to be a croc, he can be something else too.
If you know me you might know that I use to do things totally different with the dies… this is to show you that you can use your craft supplies to go beyond of what they have being designed for.
Partial Die-cutting
Playing with the kit for several hours also lead me to apply a partial die cutting technique.
I wanted one balloon only to make a little tag or a little project so I found an easy way to do it.
For this, I used textured white Craft Perfect cardstock to avoid getting the edge of the die marked on the paper.
Mini treat Bags
I also wanted to show you the paper in the kit. I found it very thick and easy to fold so I made mini treat bags as well.
you won’t need special tools to make them but a scoring tool, scissors and glue
- Cut the paper at 4×6 inches
- Score as in the template below
- Fold over the scoring lines
- Give shapes and glue pieces in place.
- Decorate the bag
