Hello friends! I am Janette Kausen from California and I am ever so thankful to be creating for Tonic Studios today!
I am a hobbyist for life, but I favor all things cardmaking. You can often find me on the soccer field, caring for family, or in my craft room. I do my darndest to stay out of the kitchen!
Today I am sharing a card that features Warm Cocoa Wishes stamp set and resembles much how I feel on this family filled Thanksgiving Day here in the United States.
My heart is full, content, and I must take a few minutes to close my eyes and recognize all I have to be grateful for.
The Card Background
Create this project by spotlight blending Acorn Brown and Carrot Stick hybrid inks around the perimeter of an A2 (4 ¼” x 5 ½”) Apricot Orange cardstock panel.
coloring
While allowing the ink blending to dry completely, stamp Warm Cocoa Wishes image in alcohol friendly Black Shadow Hybrid Ink. Color image with Nuvo Alcohol Markers in Rich Reds, Natural Browns and Fragrant Oranges.
assembling the card
- Fussy cut image leaving no border.
- Adhere image flat to the bottom center of ink blended panel. Heat emboss the sentiment and falling leaves in Gold Enchantment Glitter Embossing Powder. Shade the base of each leaf with Rich Brown Nuvo Alcohol Markers to add depth.
Tip:
When blending with ink, reach for a hybrid! The richness of the hybrid formulation creates an ultra-smooth and forgiving blend!
Thank you for spending a few minutes with me today and thank you to Tonic Studios for the invitation to guest!
No matter where you are in the world, or in life, take a moment to be aware of all you have to be grateful for.
XO,
Janette
