Hello everyone! It’s Zinia here and today I have an adorable holiday card to share with you. For this card I’m using a watercolor panel I cut out of an A4 sheet of Craft Perfect White Watercolor Card.
I used the large hugging snowmen image from the Snowman Snuggles stamp set and stamped it in the middle of my card in black ink using Nuvo Hybrid ink in Black Shadow .
For the coloring part, I used my absolute favorite coloring medium, Nuvo Aqua Flow markers.
I used a combination of colors from different sets.
here is a list of colours used
- Indigo Batik
- Flamingo Pink
- Clear Water
- Vanilla Sundae
- True Turquoise
- Aqua Splash
- Cinnamon Stick
- Pink Lemonade
- Cameo Pink
- Yellow Ochre
- Soft Rose.
While coloring I allowed the colors to create some sharper lines every now and then. I didn’t want to over-blend everything as I wanted the coloring to have more character.
Once I was done coloring the snowmen, I used the lighter shades of markers with a waterbrush.
By diluting the colors a bit, created a pastel background around the image. To make the background more exciting, I added a few splatters using the same colors.
To finish off the card I added a sentiment from the same stamp set.
