Hi everybody! It’s Maria (Cardbomb) here today with a post on mixing and matching stamps from different sets so you can get more out of them. For today’s card I mixed two unlikely stamp sets to make a sweet card with a message of support. I used a floral spray stamp from the Magnificent Magnolia set. Then, I found a flower and a sentiment from the Sammy Takes It Easy set.
I used my stamping platform to stamp the floral spray so that I could repeatedly get a perfect image on my card front. Powdered Peach and Lotus Flower inks blended together beautifully to give this stamp a soft look.
Next, I blended the background with Mint Macaroon to make it look like a sky.
After that, I stamped the flower multiple times in Black Shadow ink and watercoloured them with Nuvo Shimmer Powders. I cut them out and popped them up on the card with foam adhesive.
After stamping the sentiment in Black Shadow ink I adhered the card face to some grey cardstock foam adhesive because I wanted to add extra dimension to my card.
I also wanted some sparkle on my card so I added Silver Rain sequins and Nuvo Dream Drops in Fairy Wings to finish the card off.
Now I’m curious to know how often you find yourself looking for different ways to use or combine your stamp sets? Do you tend to use them as intended? Or, are you a rebel who likes to mix and match? I’d love to hear from you in the comments below!
Have an amazing day you all! See you back here soon!
Maria
