Hey everybody! It’s Maria (Cardbomb) here today and I’m wondering if you’ve checked out the Garden Party Release that Tonic Studios launched this past weekend?

If not I hope you’ll check it out because the new stamp sets are amazing.

Today I’ve decided to use the Flora Background set and the Celebrate Sentiments set.

I started by stamping this gorgeous background stamp onto Craft Perfect Ultra Smooth Cardstock with Black Shadow ink.

This is my go to ink because it’s a hybrid ink that works with both water and alcohol based medium.

I painted the first layer of this card with Nuvo Shimmer Powders.

Then I layered watercolour pencils on top of the shimmer powders to add texture and shading.

By using the watercolour pencils this way you can use them dry for a beautiful effect as well.

When I finished coloring, I used my Glitter Gloss Aquaflow Pen to add clear glitter to all of the flowers. You can see the glimmer catching the light on the photo below.

I  heat embossed the sentiment and I embellished my card with  Indigo Eclipse Dream Drops. Then I mounted it onto a black card base with foam tape for some extra dimension.
