Sammy Takes It Easy Glitter Gradient with Kelly Latevola

Hello Crafters!

I love glitter. If you know me this is not a surprise. which is why Glimmer Paste is my favorite.

SO. MUCH. GLITTER.

and it doesn’t come off on your hands, or get allover your pants, carpet, pretty much everything you own.

I also love color. Bright colors. color gradients, a pop of color or color all over. I just love it.

You know what’s better than just glitter, or just color? BOTH together!

  • Start off by applying Distress Oxide Ink in a color gradient on one side of your card panel.
  • You can use any ink you already love for ink blending.
  • Any colors that blend well together will work. I used three but you can use as few or as many as you’d like.
  • Lighten your pressure while blending your ink towards the center of the panel to get a smooth transition to white.

  • Once your ink blending is done lay your stencil on top of your card panel.
  • Depending on the type of stencil you’re using you may need to secure the edges with some tape.
  • Use a spatula or palette knife to spread the Glimmer Paste in a  smooth even layer across the top.
  • Let the Glimmer Paste drop off naturally over the transition area.
  • Wash your palette knife and stencil immediately. It dries fast! Set your panel aside to dry.

  • Stamp and mask your images to create your focal point.
  • I stamped Sammy the Sloth first, masked the image then stamped the flowers, masked them and then the leaves.
  • Color your images with Nuvo Markers.
  • Outline the images with a Black Brush Script Pen.
  • Fussy cut image out.

  • Die cut your sentiment out of black and white cardstock.
  • Heat emboss the second part of the sentiment on black cardstock using white embossing powder.
  • Adhere Sentiment and focal points with foam adhesive.

Thank you so much for joining me today! I hope you’ll give this glitter gradient a try soon!

XoXo
