Hello everyone! It’s Zinia here and today I’m back on the Tonic Blog to share a couple of mixed media cards.

Both cards use similar products and techniques with small variations.

How I do it

• The first step is to use some Nuvo Embellishment Mousse through a stencil and let it dry.

I used watercolour paper for this panel because I know I’m going to add a lot of water later.

• Once the mousse layer is completely dry, I used Nuvo shimmer powders to create a colour wash around the stencilled image.

This is the stage that you can go a bit crazy and add a lot of colours but make sure to limit your palette because you don’t want to end up with muddy colours (unless it’s intended like I did on my earthy tones version).

• Finally,  I used  Sorry Die Strip to create the sentiment.
• To embellish, I  added a few Nuvo drops in coordinating colours.
