Hello everyone, It’s Bibi here and today I’m sharing six easy and quick ideas using the Tonic Studios Craft Kit #21.
This kit includes supplies in reddish, golden, copper and blue colours and this time I tried to stick to the colour combo suggested in the kit … However, I defo needed to add white and silver.
I got hooked on one of the dies in the Distressed Edge & Tag Die Set and I wanted to try different layouts using it.
Here is a video to share the cardmaking process with you .
I really wanted to show you different looks and samples with an extra idea to customize envelopes as well.
You can use any other large die in the die set to create similar cards. I just loved the floras as they are feminine and delicate.
You can die cut the panels for cards, boxes, tags or any other paper craft projects well.
One of the things I like the most in this kit is the sentiments dies … just gorgeous! they are also the perfect size !!
For the first three cards in this post, I applied the same design but different layouts and colours.
I used A2 Mixed Rectangle Layering die set to cut the front panel and a scalloped background panel for these cards.
This die set is one of my favourites dies sets by Tonic as it allows me to cut perfect panels for C6 standard American cards and also A5 one of the British favourite card size.
I also used double sided adhesive sheets and Nuvo Sparkle Dust. This is an ultra fine glitter.. so soft to the touch, I really like it.
I simply die cut a panel using the floral distress edge die and I stuck it onto another panel using the double-sided adhesive sheets. The adhesive sheet was exposed in the negative spaces of the die cut and I applied over Nuvo Sparkle Dust ( microfine glitter). The glitter got stuck in the adhesive sheet and I pressed it down with my fingertips to make it even. I used the Nuvo Sweep brush to clean glitter excess.
I used Raspberry Bliss, Dust Silver Sequin and Electric Blue Nuvo Sparkle Dust for my cards today.
To make the sentiments, I also used a piece of a double-sided adhesive sheet and I stuck it on a piece of white cardstock. I then sprinkled the glitter over the adhesive to create my own DIY glitter paper.
For some of the cards, I die cut the sentiment out of this DIY glitter paper and for others, I die cut the backing layer.
I used double-sided foam adhesive behind the front panels of the cards and I adhere them to the background panels made using Maroon Red, Navy blue cardstock included in the kit and I also used Silver Screen glitter cardstock for the card above.
I embellish with Pure Sheen Gemstones.
For this card, I used Navy Blue Cardstock included in the kit and I simply die cut the panel twice using the floral distress edge die.
I die cut the sentiment out of Gold Glitter Card also included in the kit and I embellished using Nuvo Aztec Gold accents and Nuvo Pure Sheen Gemstones Golden Ovals.
For this sample, I used a piece of double sided adhesive sheet to adhere the gold Nuvo Gliding Flakes on a piece of white cardstock and I also used the solid blue washi tape to cover a piece of white cardstock. I then die cut these pieces of paper using the two small floral dies included in the kit die set.
I use a stylus to shape the little flowers and I adhere them on the card using Nuvo Deluxe adhesive. I embellish using Nuvo Aztec gold.
For the card below. I also used one of the washi tapes in the kit to completely cover a piece of white cardstock and I die cut it using the floral distress edge die. I simply placed this die cut behind a heart-shaped window and I embellished with sequins.
