Celebrate Christmas Outfits + Nuvo Shimmer Powders with Ilda Dias

Hello Friends, Ilda here from I Love Doing All things crafty, which for those of you that don’t know me it is a wordplay on my name that I came up with when I started blogging.

I really do love all things crafty, cardmaking is just my favorite these days. Also, I am an oncology nurse by day and a crafter by night or vice versa depending on the shift I work, and if the family schedule allows me to play.

So are you all getting into the Holiday Spirit yet? I am itching to get my Christmas Decor up as we had our first snowfall here in Edmonton (Alberta, Canada) and it is starting to look a lot like Christmas. Well even if my house isn’t decorated yet, my crafty area definitely feels like Christmas as all I see these days are Christmas Cards in the making, like this super cute one I am sharing with you all today.

CARD DETAILS

For my card today I decided to play with the CELEBRATE LIFE stamps US | UK and paired them with the FREE digital download stamps CHRISTMAS OUTFITS to dress up these cute critters for the Holidays. (Download yours now to dress up any of your Garden Party Critters US | UK)

To begin, I printed off the CHRISTMAS OUTFITS first onto Bristol paper, I then stamped the Critters and present images I wanted to use onto the empty spaces of the printed sheet.

To stamp the images I used the Tim Holtz Stamp Platform UK.

Next, I added a very small amount of Shimmer Powder to the wells of a paint palette and I added a few drops of water and mixed up the powder to create a shimmery paint.

I then used Aqua Flow Pens US | UK to apply the shimmer paint in the images.

Once the images were colored in I used the ScanNCut2 to die cut the images out.

To embellish the tree, I thought it would be fun to add some dimension using Nuvo Drops.

I used Glossy Simply White Crystal Drops US | UK , Apple Green Crystal Drops US | UK, Red Berry Crystal Drops US | UK

and Dandelion Yellow Crystal Drops US | UK .

Here are a few close-up photos of these shimmery Christmas cuties! To a few of the Critter images, I cut off the arms to dress them in sweaters like the little bear below.

This slimline finished card measures 8 1/2 inches long by 4 inches wide. To add some shine to their noses, cheeks, eyes, etc. I added drops of glossy accents.

Here is what the card looks like when the sunlight hits it. I love how the Shimmer Powders are so amazing and versatile to use. Aren’t these colors so pretty with all the sparkles?!

Have you tried coloring with the Tonic Shimmer powders yet? It feels like coloring with metallic watercolors, the finish is so sparkly! I hope you will give this a try I had so much fun water coloring with them.
