Hello Crafters,  this is  Victoria Dalziel here.

For those who don’t know me, I am part of the design team for the UK  Tonic Studio’s Create and Craft shows for the past four years and I absolutely love the versatility in the products Tonic produce especially dies.

Papercraft continues to be an amazing journey in which I find joy in sharing my creations and knowledge for over 15 years.

I also teach craft classes locally and we always had fun and plenty of giggles and for me, that is what crafting is fun!

Today I’m sharing some of the cards I created using Susan Tierney Cockburn Die sets launched very recently on Create and Craft here

I have to say are an absolute joy to create with and the most realistic flower dies on the market.

My Cardmaking Process

• To create the flowers and leaves  I used Tonic Smooth – Textured Card and  I applied colors using alcohol markers.
• To colour the basket and galvanized bucket,  I  use the Tonic Embellishment Mousses so that they really look realistic.
• Nuvo Crystal Glaze was used on the Holly Leaves using a Nuvo paintbrush. These just need 10/15 mins to dry but leave a natural sheen to the leaf.
• To shape each flower I used different sized stylus (ball tools) and a foam pad this gives real natural shape to the flowers and leaf.
• For the tiny little flowers used for the centre of flowers a very tiny ball tool was used and shaped on an eraser as it was something firm but not very hard.
• I also added Pollen to the centre of the flowers by adding wet glue and sprinkling a small amount of pollen over. Then, I tapped off the excess pollen back into its container.
• Nuvo drops were added to the holly berries ( Berry Bush,  Red Berry,  Autumn Red, Rhubarb Crumble,  Plum Pudding are all good Nuvo Drop choices for these winter berries).
• To add highlights to the centre crease line of the leaves and to add extra colour shade to the fern leaf or centre of flowers, I used Pan pastels.

Last but not least have fun creating!

Notes

• A really good pair of tweezers and a quilling tool is ideal to roll the centre of any flowers.
• Wet glue preferably Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive was used to glue all the flowers.
