Hi everyone! Keeway Tsao here from Kiwi Koncepts and excited to be sharing my first post on the Tonic blog. I have always loved working with stencils because of the simple yet striking effects you can get out of it. I have frequently used stencils with ink blending and glimmer paste, but I wanted to showcase how pretty it is with Nuvo mousse today!
The stencil I’m working with is called Petal Pattern. With the stencil secured with washi tape over a piece of white card stock, I used the Mousse & Paste Palette Knife to evenly spread Pure Platinum Mousse across the surface. I set this piece to dry overnight.
In the meantime, I stamped several flowers and leaves from the Perfect Petunia stamp set in Black Shadow ink. Then, I colored the images with alcohol markers and added some light highlighting with a white gel pen. I fussy cut each individual image out.
Next, I die cut the word ‘enjoy’ using Will’s Hand Enjoy Die Set. The outline is die cut out of black card stock, and the inside word was die cut out of platinum card stock from the Moonlight Rose 6×6 Card Pack.
I arranged the flowers in the center of the card and adhered it down with foam tape to give it dimension. Then, I added the ‘enjoy’ on top of it with foam tape as well.
As a final touch to the card, I added some paint splatter with my watercolours. I love how cleanly the Nuvo mousse holds the pattern of the stencil and how it shines in the light!
Below you’ll find supplies used in my project featured in today’s post.
Thanks for having me today.
Happy crafting
