Hello everyone! It’s Zinia here and today I’d like to share with you a really fun one-layer watercolour card using some beautiful stamps by Tonic Studios.
I started with a piece of watercolor paper and I stamped a pattern using various floral images. I stamped all the images with Nuvo Hybrid ink which is perfect for watercoloring as it doesn’t reactivate with water.
I colored the images very loosely, intentionally going outside the lines to create a slightly messy effect. I used various shades of reds and pinks for the flowers and greens for the leaves. I didn’t do any complicated shading, just small dabs of color every here and there to create some darker areas.
I also colored the whole background around the floral images. I kept it lighter in the center and added more vibrant color around the edges. Last but not least, I stamped a sentiment in black ink as well.
