Hello everyone, Amy Rysavy from Prairie Paper & Ink here with another card and video for you all! It’s hard to believe it’s the end of May already!!
Recently I got my hands on the Adorables (shop: US | UK) Stamp Sets from Tonic Studios, as well as Tonic’s Nuvo Alchohol Markers (shop: US | UK) – so I wanted to try out both and make a card.
I had a hard time deciding which of the Adorables Stamp Set to use first, as they’re all so adorable, but the sloths from the Sammy Takes It Easy (shop: US | UK) won out:
I stamped one of the sloths onto white card stock with Nuvo Black Shadow Hybrid ink. The sloth and the background were then coloured in with the Nuvo Alcohol Markers.
My first impressions of these Nuvo markers are that I like them! They went down smoothly and blended nicely, with a bullet tip perfect for adding some dotted texture and detail to the design.
I used the Oak Woodgrain Speciality paper to frame the image, and the Green Leaves Speciality paper as my card front, adding Dirty Bronze Crystal Drops and Cocoa Blush Jewel Drops for decoration. Since the Jewel Drops are transparent, the Cocoa Blush took on a brownish/green hue over the Green Leaves paper, making it perfect with this color combo IMO!
To finish off the inside, I stamped more images from the set with Pistachio Green and Soft Suede Hybrid inks, along with stamping the sentiment with Tonic’s Black Shadow Ink to add detail. Finally I then made a coordinating envelope with more of the Oak Woodgrain Speciality Paper and that was it!
To see how my card came together check out my video below:
Thanks so much for stopping by today!
