Creating Space Dreams with Nuvo Shimmer Powders and Ellie Goes Nuts Stamp Set – Svetlana Pavelova

Hi there, Svetlana here, excited to share my new space cards with you.

Do you like sitting under the moon, watching the stars and making a wish? When the smell of flowers trembles your heart and makes you feel happy. As for me, I really wait for these summer evenings full of magic and wonder. I enjoy every summers day and silence they brings it. These memories gave me the idea for these space cards.

I used the very cute Ellie Goes Nuts Stamp Set stamps and Nuvo Shimmer Powders to create them.

First, I’ll show you how I made these space backgrounds.

Taking watercolour paper, I cut out a circle from a piece of card-stock, then masking the moon using this circle, making sure to splash some water to keep the paper wet.

Then I added Nuvo Shimmer Powder – Solar Flare, Blue Blitz, Violet Brocade, Storm Cloud alternately, splashed water once again and waiting for the colours to mix into a fantastic background and a true magical spectacle.

When the paper dried, I stamped a sentiment using embossing tool and white powder, then it was time to add the little elephant from the Ellie Goes Nuts Stamp Set, which i coloured using watercolour markers.

Later I decided to stick the base, the background, and the elephant together using foam tape,  It’s one of my favourite things I use for adding depth to cards. Finally, I added some transparent drops, and the card was ready.

There’s one more card I created with a space background using Nuvo Shimmer Powder.

When the background was ready, I cut out two circles from the base and the background using Scalloped Circle Layering Die Set, creating a circle window in the card. Next, I then stuck my space circle inside the card and put the dreaming elephant outside the circle. Finally adding some drops to make the card complete.

Thanks for your attention. Hugs!
