Hi everyone,
I wanted to create a polaroid style photo card with the little guys from the Celebrate Life stamp set peeking out. I found the Keepsake Book Maker Photo and Filmstrips die set was just a perfect size, so it was easy to create a mini card (which also could easily be a fun tag too)!
Those little guys are so cute; when creating the main panel, simply use sticky notes to mask the dog so you can stamp the balloon and it looks as if he’s holding onto it.
You can see in the photo, I trimmed across the balloon so it added a fun element of sticking out of the top of the pocket and continued the design but also gives a little handle to pull it from the pocket.
You can see the colours on the critters. I used the Nuvo Alcohol markers for the animals and around the creatures, added some AquaFlow marker in True Turquoise for a watercoloured wash, then stamp and white heat emboss the sentiment using Celebrate Sentiments.
Whilst I had the die set out, I thought I’d create a trifold pocket card. I chose the same colours; ‘Chilli Red‘ & ‘Ocean Blue‘ along with the Ultra Smooth cardstock.
Simply put three pockets together and secure them on the reverse with some washi tape. I stamped some more of the animals and slotted them into the pockets. Then, I thought to leave them uncoloured so that the young (or old!!) recipient could colour them in; much more fun that a normal Birthday card. This idea would be also perfect with photos in and of course, used as it was intended; as a part of a memory book!
I hope that this gives you some ideas for using the Keepsakes Book Maker Photos & Filmstrips die set.
See you soon,
