Simple Striped Card Tutorial with Nuvo Aqua Flow Pens – Zinia Redo

Hello everyone! It’s Zinia here and today I’m back with another colorful card idea. This card is super easy and fun to make and the only things you need are white cardstock, your favorite coloring medium and a sentiment (I used a die-cut sentiment but you can just stamp something if you prefer that).

First, you want to cut small strips of paper. I cut mine around 1/4″ but you can adjust that size if you want a slightly different look. Then we are going to color each strip with a different color. You don’t really need to have a huge stash of colored cardstock to create this card, all it takes is coloring white strips of paper with your favorite colors.

I recommend searching online for beautiful and unique color combinations to make sure your card looks amazing.

I used Nuvo Aqua Flow markers to color my strips and I tried to create a gradient effect by arranging my colors in a sort of (half) rainbow order. You can arrange your strips any way you like. If you are intimidated to use too many colors you can stick to 2-3 colors and alternate between them. It’s a great idea to pick a specific set of Aqua Flow markers and use that color palette so you won’t need to worry about the colors matching.

To finish the design I used a die-cut “thanks” sentiment and a couple of Nuvo drops just to add a little more detail to the card. I really hope you enjoyed this clean and simple card design and you got inspired to create a colorful striped card as well.

Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Crafting
