Stamping One Image From a Layering Set with Koren Wiskman

Hello everyone. Koren here with a different way to use your layering stamps. Today I’m using the Tonic Studios Bunched Bouquet stamp set (which is a layered stamp set), and Will’s Hands “hope” word die to create a simple card that can be used for multiple occasions.

I started with a piece of dark gray smooth cardstock. I cut it down to about the same width as the word die and it’s shadow that I wanted to use on my card. I used the Will’s Hands “hope” word die on this particular card.

I then grabbed the Nuvo Metro Grey Hybrid Ink and one of the layers from the Bunched Bouquet stamp set. I chose the layer that gives the most color (the one with the most stampable area), and I inked it up with the medium gray ink. You could also use Clear Mark embossing ink to get a similar tone on tone effect. I stamped this image with an appropriate sized acrylic block repeatedly trying to make the pattern as random as possible.

Once the panel was covered in flowers. I took the Will’s Hands hope die shadow and aligned it around the center of the panel. I ran it through my diecutting machine. Doing this cuts the panel into two and leaves the perfect space for the word hope.

I popped these two pieces up onto a light gray A2 sized card base scored in a top folding portrait orientation. I used Craft Perfect Foam Squares to pop up these two panels.

I then used the actual hope die and cut it out from heavy weight white cardstock. I cut it out a total of four times and layered them together using Nuvo Deluxe Liquid adhesive. This die was placed in it’s nestled home between the two panels using the same liquid adhesive.

To finish off the card I used a few Nuvo Crystal Drops in Dandelion Yellow.

I hope that I’ve inspired you to create something today.
