Hi there! It’s Keeway here from Kiwi Koncepts today and I have an adorable card with the Garden Party Celebrate Friendship stamp set to share with you!
Like the other critter sets in this release, these stamp sets were designed to give you variety in dressing up the critters in various outfits.
I love using these options to change things up each time I use them.
How I do it
- I stamped images from the Garden Party Celebrate Friendship stamp set in Acorn Brown hybrid ink.
- Then colored each image with the Nuvo Marker Pen Collection.
A few of the notable MARKER colours used
- Cow: 495 Soft Taupe, 497 Stonehence, 499 Ancient Fossil, 448 Delicate Rose, 464 Coconut Shell
- Lamb: 473 Sweet Vanilla, 477 Sand Castle, 449 Delicate Rose, 464 Coconut Shell
- Clothing: 428 Blueprint, 430 Ultramarine, 431 French Navy, 479 Hay Bale, 373 Pink Grapefruit
- Pumpkin: 405 Indian Saffron, 479 Hay Bale, 404 Butterscotch, 463 Vintage Walnut, 504 Rusted Bronze
- Watering Can: 495 Soft Taupe, 497 Stonehence, 499 Ancient Fossil
For the other various small images in the scene, I used colours listed above to create a consistent look throughout the scene.
CARD COMPOSITION
- The background scene is framed with the Mixed Edge Ovals dies. This die set along with other Essentials Layering dies is great for framing scenes!
- The oval background was ink blended with Midnight Surf, Siren Blue, and Lime Burst Nuvo hybrid inks. I used blending daubers to do this.
- I also used the Mixed Edge Ovals dies to die cut the scallop frame out of white card stock and inlaid the oval background into it.
- The entire scene is backed with a cute red pattern paper from the Merry & Bright Craft Perfect 6×6 Card Pack.
- I added the oval scene to the card first and then stamped a sentiment from Garden Party – Summer Flowers stamp set in the top center of the sky.
- Then, I added all my images to the card next with foam adhesives for added dimension.
Thanks for joining me today.
I hope to see you next time!
Keeway.
