Hi friends, it’s Jen Kray here! Today I’m sharing a beautiful card using Nuvo Aqua Flow Pens on textured cardstock. Tonic Studios have a Craft Perfect Smooth Textured Cardstock and I was delighted with the results using a wet medium.
Instructions
- Stamp out multiple stamped images with your Nuvo Hybrid Black Shadow Ink Pad onto Craft Perfect Smooth Textured cardstock (Allow to dry or heat set).
- Using a paintbrush and a little water, colour the leaves with Evergreen Fern and Sliced Kiwi Aqua Flow Pens.
- Next, colour the stamped florals with Apple Red and Mango Mimosa.
- Fussy cut your images and work out card arrangement.
- Stamp Happy Birthday. I masked off ‘from the herd’ then stamped ‘Happy Birthday’.
- Mat and layer gold mosaic and bright white cardstock onto an A6 card blank.
- Assemble.
- Finish off with white ink splatter.
I had a lot of fun making this card. It was the first time since June I didn’t need assistance fussy cutting (broken arm but healing well now!). It’s the little things in life, right?
The sentiment on the card is tiny as the focus was on the beautiful floral arrangement. The peonies are absolutely amazing to work with and they’re one of my all-time favourite stamp sets.
