No-Line Watercoloring with Aqua Flow Pens

Hello everyone, it’s Zinia here and today I’m back to share with you a simple card I have created using the Botanical Burst stamp set by Tonic Studios.

I started the card by stamping the large flower bouquet from the stamp set in Powdered Peach Hybrid ink.

Then I applied colours to the images.  Since the coloring areas were too small to blend the colors right on paper, I kept introducing darker shades of color by lightly touching the marker tips.

I wanted my shading to look interesting without spending too much time on it so that  I used some purple shades to add more lively shadows on some of the leaves. That also helped to bring everything together with the purple flowers in the centre.

While colouring, I made sure to leave each area dry before I color an image right next to it. This way I made sure there’s no weird bleeding. I only allowed some bleeding around the stems to create the impression of depth. They look like they are a bit blurry in the background.

Once the coloring was done and dry, I went in some colored pencils and added a few details here and there, mostly following the lines of the actual stamped image.

To finish the card I stamped a sentiment on a banner and colored it red with one of the markers I used to color my bouquet.

I hope you like this card idea and the colour combo.

Thanks for stopping by

Hugs
